Buried metal static shielding bags are made from a multi-layer laminated film in which a conductive aluminium layer is encased by two polymeric plastic layers. The metal layer provides ESD protection, forming a Faraday cage around the bags contents. This ensures that electrostatic charges passes around the bag and away from ESD sensitive devices it may contain. The outer surfaces of the bag which are static dissipative, provide tough puncture and abrasion resistance. These zipper close static shielding bag can, under normal conditions, be used several times.
